The Chang E5 mission made groundbreaking discoveries beyond water on the moon. It returned to Earth with valuable samples of lunar soil and rocks containing rare minerals and even helium-3. Before its return, the spacecraft used an impressive instrument to measure the moon’s surface, revealing the presence of water. This precious resource was found on the moon, more scarce than diamonds in space. The origin of this water became the next puzzle. Some scientists proposed that asteroids brought water to the moon, while others believed there might be an unknown water source on the moon itself. Chinese and European researchers suggest that the moon samples collected by Chang E5 from the moon’s Northwest could unlock the answer to this significant question.
